The Truth Poem
Wanting to know
To know what’s wrong and right
Striving for acceptance
Trying to find the light.
Friends can be
The difference we each seek
But where do they go
When we appear to be weak?
What can be done
To help the children of today?
Try to share a smile
A smile can make it go away.
Family is family
There’s nothing really to say
They can cause us to run
But they’re there at the end of each day.
We are the faces of tomorrow
Looking for a home
Where will you find us?
We’ll be all alone.
Born to be different
Wanting to fit in
Hold on to what is certain
A new day always begins.
Even when you’re alone at night
And no one seems to care
Hold your head up high
And see that He’s always there.
He’ll hold you in His hands
And teach you wrong from right
He knows your every worry
And will stand with you to fight.
